You gave up Galiardi for McGinn ... that's how low Colorado thought of this guy.
E.J. for Kulikov would be good

Sgarbossa was also in the mix in that trade, hes been good for the Monsters so far. It was McGinn, Sgarbossa, and Connolly for Galiardi and Winnik and a 7th. Not an apples for apples trade here

EJ for Kulikov is the worst thing I have read for a potentail Avs trade on here. EJ is a solid shut down minute munching Dman for us, has turned into a quiet but reliable first pairing dman.

Kulikov wont be able to replace that.

It's would be interesting to think about I don't think COL would trade him, but if FLA added a you never know.

If you would move him what else would you want besides kulikov? Something like Flash or Trocheck?

The backend would be too hurt losing EJ and straight replacing him with Kulikov, and looking at the other available Dman, the only one that as any interest and is obtainable (Gudbranson is offlimits I assume) would be Campbell. But there would have to be salary retained plus im sure an addition Avs part to even make it close.

You got to give to get. Sure I would love to give them our garbage but I'm pretty sure they aren't going to trade their best D-man for scraps!

Great comeback win last night by the young Cats and no comments? Damn we Panther fans are few and far between on here which is understandable considering the arena in Florida is half empty. Anyway, if this team would learn to play 60 minutes the way they played in the 3rd they'd have a lot more wins and could get back in the playoff picture.

On a side note, Nick Bjugstad is gonna be a star in this league. Dude is 6'6" and has great puck possession skills, a nasty shot, and once he gains a little more weight for that frame will be hard to move. What he did on that tying goal with Datsyuk defending him was awesome.

I predict he'll be a better pro than Huberdeau when it's all done.

Yes I did and now I know why. The blogger posts new topics every 3 days and he's lucky to get 20 comments on it. No big deal though as I'm still a Panthers fan and think they will start to improve with each game and could sneak into the playoff picture with a few wins in a row. I really enjoy watching some of these young kids play like 27, 11, 44, 12.

Between our big three I think the most talented is Bjugstad, then Barkov and finally Huberdeau. I just think the size of our top two centers will help them in the long run. Huby doesn't battle as hard as the killer B's.

I really want to see Trocheck and Shore up with the team after the trade deadline. We all know Goc is as good as gone (UFA) and other vets will be dealt away as well. Doubt this team will be buyers since playoffs will probably be well out of reach. I just hope we don't blow a top 5 pick.

If there's a year to tank, it's next year. The Panthers need a McDavid, we've missed out on too many slam dunk players, Florida needs a superstar to lift the fanbase and this organization. I hope it happens or they sign/trade for one. Yeah I know, I shouldn't hold my breath.

This team is gonna be dangerous in years to come! Once trocheck comes up and a couple others were gonna be solid, and like ballard said we need a mcdavid or a big sign and trade superstar to really put us on the map. How about the play of Guddy and Olsen! Talk about a great trade by talon, Guddy and Olsen in my mind are easily our best pairing right now, and Jimmy Hayes is playing great as well he fits in well with this team, size and skill. things are looking up panther fans, be happy!

If they can somehow get a decent return (offense) for Kulikov then I wouldn't mind him being traded. This team has a lot of young defensive prospects in the system waiting to come up. I've been bitter for awhile because I've been ranting for this organization to bring in someone who will electrify the team and crowd, we need another Bure type player on this team. You can't win a championship without one, I don't care what anyone says, you need that dynamic player who has the ability to score or get a point on almost every shift he takes. Once this team gets a player like that then all the pressure will be off our young guns and you'll right away see those players playing better. It's a simple request, something that should have been done a long time ago. It shouldn't take over a decade to bring in a guy who puts butts in the seats. Get it done.

That's what I was saying! I really think this team is really close to be a playoff contender every year. We have a lot of good, young players who just need games to develop into elite players and become more consistent. It's a good time to be Panthers fans if not now then real soon.

I get what you're saying and agree with you but we may already have that guy. I know it's early in his career and he's only scored 5 goals but from what I've seen Bjugstad can be that guy. With his size and skillset it sure is fun watching this kid so far and he'll only get better the more games he plays. Every goal he's scored has been fun to watch.

I agree 100%, Kulikov needs to get moved for some offensive talent, we have Petrovic, Matheson, and McChoshen coming up for the next few years and Matheson and McChoshen are playing great at BC! Hopefully with new ownership we make some big signings in free agency. Question guys, how does everyone feel about our head coach? Should he stay or should we find someone else? I personally think we should keep Horachek.

So far I like what I see but let's see how the young guys develop the rest of the year under him just to be sure. I think we as fans would like to see more consistent play out of the team which could be a motivation issue a coach needs to address.

You see more energy with the new head coach but the results are about the same. Under .500 and always start games slow. This team needs to learn how to get ahead early and often. I think they need a veteran coach next year. Obviously First year coaches like Debore and Dineeb didn't pan out. Gotta go a different direction.

I'm hearing we were in serious trade discussions with Colorado for Kulikov. How does Kulikov for Stastny sound? Maybe kulikov and a draft pick? I know were deep at center and could use some right wing help, but Stastny sounds like the best pick up we could get for Kuly out of Colorado.
